An ongoing series of nights in New York built around one goal: you'll leave with at least one person you're excited to see again.

02HOW IT WORKS

  1. 01Sign up
  2. 02Tell us a little about yourself
  3. 03Show up
  4. 04We'll help with the rest

You can come alone. You won't be left alone.

On the night we use what you told us to put you in a small group with people you'll probably get along with — nothing clever, nothing creepy, just a warm start.

Everyone gets a small group.

Your answers become a circle of four to six people. When the night starts, your circle shows up on your phone — their first names, the thread you share, and a card you hold up so they can spot you across the room.

03WHY I'M DOING THIS

The people central to your life almost always start as strangers.

I moved to New York without knowing anyone. The friendships I have now came slowly — run clubs, dinner parties, book clubs, saying yes again and again to things where I barely knew a soul.

I make content about friendship and community now, and most of it comes back to the same thing: the people who end up central to your life almost always start as strangers.

I love a room full of new people. I also know how intimidating it is to walk into one and fend for yourself. This is my attempt to make that easier with just a touch of tech.

The dream is that one day someone asks two friends how they met and they get to say: “At this event, of all places.”
